Erlang

Erlang Training and Consulting's Contributions to The Community.

At Erlang Training and Consulting we also like to give something back to Erlang/OTP and help spread Erlang Knowledge and news in the wider computing community.

To achieve this, we:

- have been involved in organising the ACM SIGPLAN Erlang workshops since they were first accredited by ACM and regularly organise Erlang user groups, conferences and workshop presentations at various global locations. This gives everybody an opportunity to make professional contacts, share expriences and have a good time;

- are always on the lookout for talented students to sponsor thesis projects into different aspects of Erlang. We work on funded research projects in close partenership with the Universities worldwide, and when we are not working, you will find us giving guest lectures on Erlang or teaching full modules.

In 2008, we launched the annual Erlang eXchange, a 2-day multi track Erlang conference filled with presentations and tutorials. It is held every June in London and April in San Francisco. This is aimed at those interested in learning more about Erlang, be it programmers, project managers or system architects. It promises to be a vital pooling of experience in the Erlang world.

In these pages, we collect resources which are a result of our activities in the hope you might find them useful or interesting.

More news and information on upcoming events will be posted on this site as it happens. You can also subscribe to our Erlang Newsletter and Erlang RSS News feeds.

How can we help you?

Do you have to build a massively concurrent, distributed, fault tolerant real time system with demands on high availability, scalability and software upgrade during runtime?

You think Erlang/OTP is the right way to go but are not completely convinced it will fit your application domain? Are you not sure on how to proceed? Do you need more facts to convince others?

If so, it is about time you read about our prototype package and tested those ideas. Because if you don't get rid of those question marks, your competitors will!
