London Erlang Factory 09
22 Jun 2009 to 26 Jun 2009
University: June 22nd - June 24thConference: June 25th - June 26th
The Erlang factory in London is shaping-up to be an amazing gathering! There are so far 35 confirmed speakers from four continents who will be showcasing Erlang. This is rivalling the number who were at the Palo Alto Factory! We are proud to have speakers from all sides of Erlang and functional programming: including Joe Armstrong and Bjarne Dacker who were involved in the birth of Erlang, Kenneth Lundin, the current head of the Erlang/OTP Development Team at Ericsson in Stockholm, Simon Peyton-Jones from Microsoft and Marc Imbriaco from 37signals. There are also Erlang users from the US, India and across Europe who will speak about why and how they are using Erlang, as well as developers who have produced varied and interesting Erlang tools and apps. Amongst these are Chris Andersson and Jan Lehnardt who have been instrumental in the development of CouchDB – the document-oriented database. There will be a virtual CouchDB track on the Friday of the factory that will allow delegates to focus on this increasingly popular database.
